WHERE TO FIND THE MARKET
The Year-Round Prince George Farmers’ Market is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Prince George on 1074 6th Avenue, behind the Keg Restaurant. The indoor market operates year round every Saturday from 8:30am to 2:00pm while the seasonal outdoor market at the same location starts in mid April and ends October. » View the map on the Contact page.
We are open Year Round, every Saturday from 8:30am to 2:00pm.
Everything sold at the Prince George Farmers’ Market must be made, baked, or grown locally by the vendor. Products that are not available from local producers such as fruit for example, may be sold at the Market but must be products from BC.
GETTING INVOLVED - BECOME A MEMBER/VENDOR
Anyone can become a member of the Prince George Farmers' Market! To become a vendor you must be a member of the Market. Vendors wishing to sell a product at the Prince George Farmers' Market must reside within the boundaries of School District 57 and make, bake, or grow the product(s) they want to sell.
2. Send the application form to the Market Manager (firstname.lastname@example.org), or drop it off in person at the Market on Saturday.
3. If you are selling a high-risk food product, you must supply the Market Manager a copy of your approval from Northern Health. Not sure if your product is high risk? Check out the Guideline for the Sale of Foods at Temporary Food Markets.
*PLEASE NOTE* Please provide sufficient time for your application to be processed, and connect directly with the Market Manager at least a week in advance to when you would like to start vending at the Market.
The Prince George Farmers’ Market was started in 1995 with a few vendors and has grown to a substantial Prince George institution with around 100 members offering everything from local vegetables, meats, bakings, fruits, hot foods, coffee, honey and jams and jellies, preserves, and a wide variety of artisan products including jewellery.
With the opening of the Market’s indoor location in 2010, the Prince George Farmers’ Market became the first Farmers’ Market in the Province of British Columbia boasting a year-round market. A Saturday at the Market may see well over 2000 visitors - we hope you’ll be one of them!
