Get "COOKING WITH THE MARKET"! The brand new Farmers' Market cookbook is now available.

216 pages in full colour choke full with mouthwatering recipes from vendors, the book is a FUNDRAISING project with proceeds going to the Prince George Farmers' Market Association to promote the Market, attract new vendors, and do urgently necessary roof repairs. Book launch will be Sunday, July 16 during downtown Summerfest and will be available at Books & Company, Canadian Tire, the Northern Lights Estate Winery and of course at the Farmers' Market.
The book was produced by members of the Prince George Farmers' Market with the assistance of Chef Wayne Kitchen of Crossroads Brewing, Chef Brian Quarmby of Betulla Burning, and the Northern Lights Estate Winery. We'd also like to thank the Prince George Citizen for their support in promoting the book! A special thank you goes to our sponsors for their generous financial contribution - without them, the book would not have been printed: Northern Development Investment Trust (NDIT), Datoff Bros. Construction, and Concept Design.

2. Submit an online application here on our website: Apply to be a Vendor. If you have any problems doing this contact the Market Manager (marketmanager@farmersmarketpg.ca)

3. If you are selling a high-risk food product, you must supply the Market Manager a copy of your approval from Northern Health. Not sure if your product is high risk? Check out the Guideline for the Sale of Foods at Temporary Food Markets.

*PLEASE NOTE* Please provide sufficient time for your application to be processed, and connect directly with the Market Manager at least a week in advance to when you would like to start vending at the Market.

HISTORY

The Prince George Farmers’ Market was started in 1995 with a few vendors and has grown to a substantial Prince George institution with around 100 members offering everything from local vegetables, meats, bakings, fruits, hot foods, coffee, honey and jams and jellies, preserves, and a wide variety of artisan products including jewellery.

With the opening of the Market’s indoor location in 2010, the Prince George Farmers’ Market became the first Farmers’ Market in the Province of British Columbia boasting a year-round market. A Saturday at the Market may see well over 2000 visitors - we hope you’ll be one of them!
